What are Degree Days?

Degree days are a useful measure to determine how much heating or cooling is needed in a building on any given day. A degree day typically happens when the temperature falls one or more degree below a specified average outdoor temperature – usually 18.3˚C.

We can use Degree Days in energy management to help monitor changes in your heating systems operation, determine actual savings through any efficiency measures and produce realistic heating budgets.
