On 2nd March, The Student Energy Project was awarded “Green Business of the Year” at the South Wales Business Growth Awards.

Held in the Mercure Holland House in Cardiff, the project beat off some great competition to secure the award.

This award has been introduced to recognise business that are leading examples of sustainability or have made significant contribution to environmental improvement through sustainable working practices, processes or product development.

This award recognises all the hard work that universities, students and accommodation providers are doing to change perceptions around energy use in the university setting. It is important for us all to inspire the next generation to lead a more sustainable life and develop the right habits to take with them into the future.

To the students and reps that are part of the project, thank you. This award also recognises the hard work that you put in to make the project a success, sharing its messages and ensuring students save energy and earn rewards.
